about me
I’m Maria Curado (1999), a fashion designer who started my creative journey in Visual Arts. My artistic skills were shaped through my studies and further developed under the guidance of illustrator António Soares. I pursued a degree in Fashion Design at Modatex Porto, where I explored how fashion and art intersect and influence each other.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with inspiring designers, including a six-month internship with Constança Entrudo and a seven-month collaboration with Lidija Kolovrat. These experiences allowed me to refine my skills in garment construction, print design, and creative improvisation.
I’ve presented two collections at ModaLisboa, both deeply rooted in my exploration of consciousness, truth, and self-knowledge. Each collection reflects my journey through abstract forms, textures, and personal narratives. Currently, I work at Parfois, specializing in woven textiles and contributing to the design of various garments.
I’m continually exploring different facets of fashion design, always looking for new ways to merge art with creativity in my work.
